Faculty Ambassador Program

Strengthening connections between geology educators, students, and the profession

About the Program

The ASBOG Faculty Ambassador Program is designed to strengthen connections between geology educators, students, and the profession.

Through the program, selected faculty representatives serve as liaisons between ASBOG and academic institutions, helping both students and faculty understand the value of professional licensure and preparing them for successful entry into the geoscience workforce.

Faculty Ambassadors receive timely information from ASBOG regarding examination updates, licensure requirements, curriculum requirements for licensure, career pathways, and professional ethics. Ambassadors share this information with students and colleagues, promote awareness of the Fundamentals of Geology (FG) exam and professional licensure, and provide feedback to ASBOG regarding academic and student perspectives.
